A Postgraduate Qualification in Dermatology
The DCD is a one year full-time course, designed for medical practitioners with an interest in pursuing a career in dermatology.
The course is delivered by an enthusiastic team supported by a large number of eminent and internationally renowned dermatologists from the United Kingdom and abroad, giving a balanced global dermatology perspective.
A variety of teaching styles are utilised on the course ranging from traditional clinical teaching to highly interactive collaborative group teaching.
The final examination consists of written and clinical skills assessment components.
The DCD will give a solid foundation on which to pursue further postgraduate training in dermatology. Many former DCD students are now Consultant Dermatologists both in the public and private sector. Some have pursued careers as General Practitioners with a special interest in dermatology (GPsWI) whilst others have opted for careers as academics within university dermatology departments.
