Msc in Practical Dermatology
Overview
The MSc in Practical Dermatology is launching in September 2009 with an intake of 20 students. The course begins with an 8-week block of online study to allow you to develop your study and research skills. Following the in-course formative assessment at the end of the 8-week study block, you will have 12 months to submit the 20,000 word dissertation. After this time, you will have 6 months to make any amendments. The MSc will be assessed by the submission of the dissertation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have completed and passed the Diploma in Practical Dermatology course delivered by Cardiff University (University of Wales College of Medicine) after 2002 (i.e. from the 2002-3 course onwards as this is when the course was fully delivered online) and must have gained one of the following:
- DPD with departmental commendation/ merit
- DPD with distinction
- DPD gaining a combined score of 75% in the case histories and written assignment components of the DPD
- Good English language skills are essential, and candidates must satisfy the criteria of the Cardiff University General Entrance Requirement.
- It is a programme requirement that participants have access to a computer that is connected to the internet.
