Dr James Beatty becomes the first Honorary Dermatologist in Cardiff.

Dr Francis Bettley becomes an Honorary Dermatologist.

Dr Geoffrey Hodgson becomes an Honorary Dermatologist.

Dr Arthur Rook becomes a consultant dermatologist in Cardiff. He later moved to Cambridge and wrote the first "Rook Book".

Dr Geoffrey Hodgson helps organise the World Congress of Dermatology in London.

Dr Eric Waddington (WHO IS HE?) contributes to the differentiation of pemphigoid as a separate disease from pemphigus.

Dr Charles Long provides dermatology services both in Cardiff and in Mid Glamorgan.
1971
The Dermatology Department becomes the first clinical service to move into the new University Hospital of Wales, and the Queen visits the dermatology ward when opening the hospital.
1973
Professor Ronald Marks comes to Cardiff as the first Senior Lecturer in Dermatology and his creation of new postgraduate teaching courses and organisation of many international meetings puts Cardiff at the forefront of dermatology research and teaching.
1975
Dr Arthur Knight, a superb dermatopathology teacher, becomes a consultant dermatologist at Cardiff.
1978
Consultant dermatologist Dr Peter Holt, lays the foundations of the renowned Dermatology Surgery Unit. The Unit is now run by Dr Richard Motley and Dr Andrew Morris and remains a leading influence in British Dermatology surgery with new technique development and superb training.

DCD course launched.

The clinical service at Llandough University Hospital is established (now led by Dr Colin Long).
